A better future underground: new book is out

The increased use of subsurface space is a key ingredient for the sustainable development of cities in the future. As such, we are proud to introduce one of our main productions this year – the 284-page volume Underground Construction developed for Atlas Copco.

In an accessible format, this compelling book explains how tunnels and underground installations can improve the quality of life in modern society. The publication features a technical section that details the tunneling process, from the prestudy and planning stages through to excavation and project completion.

The book, which also presents case stories from around the world, aims to share industry leading know-how. It provides engineers, students and other interest groups with a unique insight into the safest, most efficient methods and practices.
